Illegal Teeth Whitening Sold to Australians

Teeth whitening may be the "trend" as there are now many products out on the market. It has been found that these products have been causing burns to the mouth and throat if swallowed, as well as having cancer causing chemicals. There has also been a concern that if there are undetected cavities which are being covered with bleaching products, that it may cause irreversible damage to the pulp tissue causing severe pain and potentially a tooth loss. Over the last few years, the ADA (Australian Dental Association) has been pushing for teeth bleaching to be regulated to be carried out by trained dental practitioner as there have been ongoing concerns regarding physical harm when used by untrained individual.
