WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY (WNTD)
World No Tobacco Day is noticed world wide every year on the 31st of May. It's goal is to help people understand the negative effects that tobacco has on an individual's health. Currently, tobacco is responsible for 6 million deaths each year world wide, and 19,000 just in Australia, including second hand smokers. Here are some of the effects that tobacco has on an individual's oral health:
- Periodontal disease, Oral cancer, Poor healing after extractions (dry sockets), Poor healing after mouth and gum surgery, Stained teeth.

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
Dear Patients,

The health and safety of our staff and patients is most important. We have therefore made the difficult decision to temporarily close both practices from Thursday 9th July until approximately 20th August. We will continue to monitor the situation very closely daily and provide you with any updates.

For any emergency cases, our front office and dentist will still be taking calls and providing you with the necessary support.

Take care, stay healthy and safe and we'll (hopefully) see you soon!
